III. For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process personal data?

a) Visiting our website

For purely informative use of the website, i.e. if you do not want to register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to us. This is: 

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the inquiry
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Data quantity transmitted
  • Website from which the request comes
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its user interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

We save this data, incl./excl. the IP address also in log files.

We require this data technically in order to display our website, to ensure the stability and security and to optimise our offering.

The legal basis for the data processing is Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), whereby our legitimate interest arises from the purposes cited.

We delete this data after 7 days at the latest. More extensive storage does not take place, after the IP address has been deleted or anonymised.

b) Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to us.

On our website we use transient and persistent cookies. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This particularly includes the session cookies. These cookies save a so-called session ID with which various inquiries of your browser can be allocated to the shared session. Thus your computer can be recognised again when you return to our website. The session cookies will be deleted when you log out or close the browser. Persistent cookies will be deleted in an automated procedure after a prescribed duration, which can vary depending on the cookie. If you contact us via the e-mail addresses we have provided, we will store the personal data you provide in order to respond to your enquiries.

The legal basis for the data processing is Article 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest arises from the purposes cited. If the intent of the contact is to enter into a contract then the legal basis is 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR.

The data will be deleted when the request has been definitively processed. In addition, you can object to the processing at any time.

d) Request of information material

If you use our contact form to request information material, we will use the data you transmit in order to answer your enquiry; note that only a valid e-mail address is required and the other details are voluntary.

The transmission occurs with encryption via an SSL-protected transmission.

Data processing for the purpose of establishing contact with us is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry concerns the fulfilment of contractual obligations or the initiation of a contract, in other cases the legal basis is Article (6)(1)(1)(f) GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest arises from the purposes cited above.

The personal data that we collect for use of the contact form will be deleted automatically after we have dealt with the inquiry you have submitted. In addition, you can object to the processing at any time.

e) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytic uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymity is activated on this website, your IP address is shortened beforehand by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. f) Piwik

We use the Piwik web analysis services, in order to analyse the use of our website and for the ability to make regular improvements. g) Google Translate

We use “Google Translate” on our website to provide you with a convenient translation of our pages. This is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

When “Google Translate” is called-up, a cookie is set to retain the selected language. As rule the cookie will be deleted when the browser is closed. You can prevent the setting of cookies by making an appropriate setting of your browser. It may the case that “Google Translate” will not function or will not function correctly. When using “Google Translate” Google processes information about you, such as the selected language and your surfing behaviour. h) Use of SalesViewer® technology:

This website uses SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH on the basis of the website operator’s legitimate interests (Section 6 paragraph 1 lit.f GDPR) in order to collect and save data on marketing, market research and optimisation purposes.

In order to do this, a javascript based code, which serves to capture company-related data and according website usage. The data captured using this technology are encrypted in a non-retrievable one-way function (so-called hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymised and is not used to identify website visitors personally.

The data stored by Salesviewer® will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legal obligations to retain them.

The data recording and storage can be repealed at any time with immediate effect for the future, by clicking on https://www.salesviewer.com/opt-out in order to prevent SalesViewer® from recording your data. In this case, an opt-out cookie for this website is saved on your device. If you delete the cookies in the browser, you will need to click on this link again.
